from: Public Domain Mining

Actually, there's so much material currently within the Public Domain most people aren't aware of, there's little chance the public domain will ever run out. And, of course, more works are constantly added to the public domain on a daily basis.
When Internet Marketers discuss the public domain, most of the time they're referring to books or recipes or self-improvement courses. This is likely because they don't know about other resources or they're just not telling you about everything that's out there. Regardless, they're certainly not doing you any favors.
What marks the future of Public Domain resources is the diversity of materials available. This includes government publications on lots of issues such as the environment, public health, and lots more subjects of interest to the public that are placed in the public domain every year.
